Living Joyfully

                                                                       Living Joyfully

Living Joyfully is an attitude...a heart setting. You find the way to joy in the Bible. Scripture calls it a fruit of the Spirit...a by-product of God's Holy Spirit being active in one's life. Our tendency is to be negative, earthy, self pitying or self loathing, resentful, offended or hurt. We withdraw, feel rejected or reject. But that, dear friends, is no way to live!  Waking up to a dark cloud hanging over my head is not the life for me!  I have found that if I get centered in the Holy Bible, if I find my life hidden in Christ, I begin to see things differently. Thankfulness, creativity and joy emerges! Sure...people will call you a hater with angry voices, aggressive posts and red faces, but they don't have what I want...joy. Peace, love, bearing with others who are different...this is what I am all about, and it comes from God. Remember that those with political and religious agendas hated Jesus. They wanted to kill him. And throughout history, multitudes of nations and tribes have sought to kill God's people....Jews and Christians have been lion's bait for centuries....burned, beheaded, boiled and run through...and on it goes.  But still, we have joy.  So, if Christians all over the world who face persecution, can partake of this daily joy, it must be more than just a good "feeling" when things are going well. And I, for one, have found this to be most reliably true. It comes from God. From the presence of His Holy Spirit as I invite Him to take control of my " out of control" emotional, self centered nature.
Living joyfully is living.
